William Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost gets a double redux when it officially opens at Bard on the Beach’s intimate Howard Family Stage in the Douglas Campbell Theatre Tent this Friday night (June 26).

Not only is it a musical adaptation, it’s set in 1920s Chicago, replete with gangsters, jazz halls, and the illegal booze trade of the era. Names like Jay Hindle, Andrew McNee, Dawn Petten, and Josh Epstein star, decked out in Rebekka Sørensen-Kjelstrup’s richly detailed costumes.

      Thou canst expect a rip-roaring, speakeasy-happy time.
