One name says it all: Godfrey. It has to because you’d never remember his last name—Danchimah—even if he used it. The 44-year-old Chicago standup is a force of nature, blowing away any audience he comes in contact with. He’s got a healthy IMDb page with various acting gigs, but it’s on the standup stage that he really shines. Vancouver only experienced a condensed version of the man when he performed a 20-minute set on last year’s Just for Laughs tour, and he’ll be doing the same again in November. But this weekend you can get up-close and intimate with him as he performs five headlining sets at Yuk Yuk’s on Cambie, Thursday through Saturday (October 17 to 19).
