Vancouver Cantata Singers at Christ Church Cathedral
The Vancouver Cantata Singers open their season with a tribute to jolly ol’ England and music from the end of its imperial period. In a show called Fading Splendour, the choir puts its considerable lung power to Ralph Vaughan Williams’s formidable 1921 work Mass in G Minor, as well as pieces by Edward Elgar, Herbert Howells, and more. It’s the first concert the VCS will have under the leadership of new artistic director Paula Kremer. The show is on Saturday (October 19) at Christ Church Cathedral.
