A gig with the ballet, the return of a massive musical hit, and several other collaborations highlight Chor Leoni's just-announced season.

The men's choir kicks off its artistic year with a busy November, first sharing the stage with Ballet B.C., providing the musical atmosphere for a new work by Belgian-born  choreographer Stijn Celis from November 5 to 7 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Just a few days later, on November 11, the choir's Brothers in Arms marks Remembrance Day with songs that acknowledge the effects war has on families; rising Canadian soprano Laura Widgett joins the ensemble for the concerts.

December 5, Chor Leoni brings back its acclaimed All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 to a bigger venue: under playwright and director Peter Rothstein, it stages the groundbreaking a capella work of real songs from the event at the Queen Elizabeth stage.

Christmas with Chor Leoni follows on December 18, with the VanMan Male Choral Summit hitting the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts the following March.

In April, the choir's Sea to Sky program celebrates the landscape here, while May finds it and artistic director Erick Lichte back in the recording studio with Grammy-award-winning producer Steve Barnett.
