The Little Chamber Music Series That Could at the Roundhouse

The Little Chamber Music Series That Could is back and under new management, but its sense of adventure is fully intact. New artistic director Mark Haney has big ambitions for this small-scale series, with its official relaunch party at the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre on Saturday (October 26) giving some indication of its scope. Featured will be Kronos Quartet–approved composer Nicole Lizée’s SaskPower band and the Little Chamber Strings, an all-star trio with Haney, violinist Cam Wilson, and violist Marcus Takizawa. The event is being billed as a Halloween party, and no doubt some zombies will show up—but that’ll just prove that the LCMSTC is undead in the best possible way.
