Vancouver import Dino Archie, who hails from Fresno, California, sold out the Vogue Theatre last summer with his Simply Dope comedy show. Now he’s hoping for some winter magic. Archie, along with local heroes Graham Clark and Ivan Decker and Los Angeles–based Amir K, will perform in the Vancity Winter Comedy Extravaganza at the River Rock Show Theatre on Saturday (January 11). Archie, Clark, and Decker are well-known to comedy connoisseurs in these parts. Less familiar is the Iranian-born, California-raised Amir Kamyab, but that’s about to change. He’s one of the Jerks With Cameras, a prank show set to air on MTV on January 16. There’ll be no pranking at the River Rock, though. Just a lot of laughs.
