Caroline Rhea at the Comedy MIX

When you make a list of the most successful Canadian comedians to have made it in the U.S., Caroline Rhea never finds her way onto it. But she should. We just never think of her as Canadian, maybe because she started her standup career Down South. We first got to know her as Aunt Hilda on Sabrina, the Teenage Witch but she’s been all over our TV screens since then, including hosting her own talk show. This weekend, Rhea makes her Vancouver standup debut (that we know of) when she headlines the Comedy MIX on Burrard from Thursday through Saturday (January 9 to 11). Emceeing the show will be one of the best female standups to stay in the country, Erica Sigurdson. Chris James, the middle, will give a shot of testosterone to the proceedings.
