Fast-rising young Shakespeare director Kevin Bennett brings a revitalized, fresh take on Measure for Measure to Pacific Theatre from Friday (January 17) to February 8. Bennett has made his name through large-cast, small-stage productions, and he recently returned from a directing apprenticeship at the Stratford Festival. This Honest Fishmongers production of the classic about the madness of morality laws in old Vienna stars such local names as Simon Webb, Ted Cole, Peter Anderson, and Julie McIsaac. The play’s intense; now imagine it played out on the relatively intimate Pacific Theatre stage.
