Now that Sean Devlin has helped boot Stephen Harper out of 24 Sussex Drive, the Vancouver comedian has free time for other worthwhile pursuits.

So tonight, the cocreator of Shit Harper Did will be one of the entertainers participating in a benefit for Syrian refugees.

Starting at 8 p.m. at the Fox Cabaret, the show will also feature comedians Alicia Tobin, Cameron Macleod, and the Sunday Service, and magician Travis Bernhart.

In addition, there will be musical performances by Jim Byrnes, Jaycelyn Brown and Ben Worcester of Said the Whale, Ashleigh Ball of Hey Ocean!, and Krystle Dos Santos.

Ashleigh Ball (centre) is one of the musicians who will perform.

      Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and there's a minimum donation of $20.

All proceeds will go to the Inland Refugee Society of B.C. and Basmeh & Zeitooneh, which serves Syrian refugees.

Anyone interested in making donations can go to this fundraising page.
