Jens Lindemann at the Port Moody Inlet Theatre

Here’s an artist who can really, if you’ll excuse us, toot his own horn. Jens Lindemann is one of the top trumpet virtuosos in the world, so if you’re big on brass, head out to the PoMo ArtsFest to hear him on the concert stage at the Friday night gala (February 21) at the Port Moody Inlet Theatre. The star has performed with orchestras from New York to Tokyo, as well as with the likes of Doc Severinsen, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and Canadian Brass. He’s joined in a jazz extravaganza by the Kristian Alexandrov Trio, featuring singer and percussionist Shannon Gaye. The fest, by the way, spans everything from world and classical music to spoken-word poetry, dance, and storytelling, and runs Thursday to Sunday (February 20 to 23).
