Nashville Hurricane at Performance Works

In Nashville Hurricane, which the Fringe is presenting at Performance Works from tonight through Sunday (March 19 to 23), writer and solo actor Chase Padgett tells the story of a guitar prodigy from the perspectives of his alcoholic mother, lizard-like manager, and black blues mentor. As he proved in another solo show, Six Guitars, which he performed at the Fringe last fall, Padgett is both a gifted musician and an actor who seems to change skins when he switches characters. At the Fringe, Padgett scored a pack of prizes, including the Georgia Straight’s Critics Choice Award, for Six Guitars. If you saw him in that, you already know that you want to see him again. If you didn’t, don’t miss him in Nashville Hurricane. Bonus: on Saturday (March 22), TJ Dawe will interview Padgett post-performance.
