Attention East Van chamber-music lovers: there’s a new concert series in town, and it’s in your ‘hood.

The Luchkow-Jarvis Duo (Paul Luchkow, violin, and Michael Jarvis, harpsichord) is relocating its Sonata Series from Kitsilano to Grace Memorial United Church (803 East 16th Avenue). This Friday (June 20), at 7:30 p.m., the duo will present a program of 17th-century Italian repertoire.

The pair’s recording of sonatas was nominated for Classical Album of the Year at the 2012 Western Canada Music Awards, so you know it’s got the chops.
