Canadian performance company James & Jamesy is joining the essence of Monty Python with Dr. Seuss in its new show, High Tea, as part of Theatre Wire’s first Vancouver season.

The show stars James & Jamesy’s award-winning artistic directors, Aaron Malkin and Alastair Knowles, who will reprise their title roles as James and Jamesy in an outlandish plot that sees them navigating a world that has literally been flooded with tea.

The performance stays true to James and Jamesy’s imaginative nature, while evoking scenes from maritime classics like Noah’s Ark, Jaws, and Titanic. It’s the final show in the 2015–16 Fringe Presents series and the second-to-last show in Theatre Wire’s season, which is presented by Vancouver Fringe.

High Tea runs from April 11 to 17 at Granville Island’s Studio 1398 (1398 Cartwright Street). Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased online.
