These are just some of the provocative large-light-box images displayed in Vancouver photographer Dina Goldstein’s Gods of Suburbia, a startling exhibit about religion and contemporary society that returns to town to South Main (SOMA) Gallery from Thursday night (April 14) to April 30 as part of the Capture Photography Festival.

Goldstein has recently been the subject of major international buzz for her richly detailed, pop-surrealist work, scoring the Prix Virginia in 2014 in Paris; come see what all the fuss is about.
