Theatre Under the Stars holds over its musicals for first time in its history

For the first time in Theatre Under the Stars' over-70-year history, it is extending the run of both its shows right through to the end of August.

Shrek: The Musical and Legally Blonde: The Musical will now be held over for another week, on alternating evenings, to August 30.

The hit shows, both based on popular movies, have been reeling in the crowds--as has the amazing string of perfect summer nights to head to Stanley Park for the shows at Malkin Bowl. Both have also received positive reviews.

“We are deeply touched at the flood of positive feedback we’ve received from both first-time attendees and long-time TUTS audience members,” Naveen Kapahi, TUTS' board president said in a press statement. “A summer evening at the Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park is truly a memorable experience. Now with seven performances added to the season, we’re beyond thrilled to invite even more spectators to share in this cherished annual tradition.”

Tickets are at 604-696-4295 or tuts.ca.

Musical theatre is for the uneducated masses and their pointless offspring.
