Project Limelight, a free performing-arts program for young people in the Downtown Eastside, is pretty much one of the most worthwhile projects around. The added bonus is that its annual show is a family-friendly wonder of costumes, music, and sets—one that promises to outdo itself with the innovative #FAIRYTALE this Sunday (June 12) at the Fei and Milton Wong Experimental Theatre, at SFU Woodward’s in the Goldcorp Centre for the Arts. It centres on Cinder Fella, and his surprise rise to YouTube sensation—with the help of his Fairy Godmothers, of course. There are shows at both 2 and 6 p.m.—and a happy ending for all involved.
