Fringe Fest 2014: Peter N’ Chris and the Kinda OK Corral is confident fun

This show could be subtitled The Fun You Can Have When You’re Confident Enough. Well, any show by Peter n’ Chris could be subtitled The Fun You Can Have When You’re Confident Enough. Kinda OK Corral is set in the Wild West, where things are so tough that “even the womenfolk had to be men.” In refreshing ways, these guys play a lot with gender. They also have a giddy good time with storytelling conventions. I love the details—like when Peter drops his mime gun—and the riffs, like when Peter gets into a private conversation with his two pistols, Lefty and Gutchunks. Because Peter and Chris are unafraid, it feels like they’re flying. And we get to fly along, which is a gift.

      At Performance Works on September 6 (12:50 p.m.), 7 (9:15 p.m.), 10 (5:15 p.m.), 11 (6:40 p.m.), and 12 (8:45 p.m.)
