Destroy Vancouver takes break from the noise

      The name implied a nihilistic approach, but noise showcase Destroy Vancouver wound up being a vital creative asset within our city’s underground music scene.

      Curators John Brennan and Elisa Ferrari are taking a break to pursue other things—including more noisemaking of their own—but not before offering one last installment of the series, at VIVO Media Arts on Thursday (September 8).

      Come for Berlin’s Kristina Kubisch, whose work with electromagnetic transmissions will change the way you hear the urban soundscape, and stay for similarly adventurous sonic excursions from Adriana Lopez, Friends+War, hazy, Katharina Ernst, and minimal violence.
