There are things that can haunt you in more frightening ways than the ghosts and ghouls of Halloween. The new community performance Haunted House is all about the real experiences of youth 15 to 24 who are creating the production—issues like violence, loss, and childhood abuse. The Miscellaneous Productions show by Elaine Carol is offering an open rehearsal on Friday (November 14) at 7 p.m. at the Scotiabank Dance Centre, where audiences can see the work in progress before it gets staged in a historic West End house in 2015. They’ll also be able to ask participants questions in a panel afterward—and find out monsters, or at least inner ones, can sometimes be real.
