Underneath the Lintel at Pacific Theatre

In Glen Berger’s Underneath the Lintel, a librarian finds a travel book returned 113 years past due and, with hardly any clues to go on, becomes obsessed with finding the owner—a man he believes could be the legendary Wandering Jew. It’s a compelling, globe-crossing mystery, but it also turns into a moving story of a recluse who heads out into the world on his mission. When the show debuted in New York City in 2001, Time Out New York declared it one of the top 10 plays of the year. Now Alberta’s Rosebud Theatre takes on the production, presented here by Pacific Theatre from Friday (January 9) to the end of the month.
