Comedy heavy-hitters hit Vancouver

With the comedy heavy-hitters in town this weekend, you’re going to have to make some hard decisions. Or do some fancy scheduling to catch them all.

      Let’s start with the clubs.

Yuk Yuk’s on Cambie has the always hilarious Jon Dore for three nights starting Thursday (January 15), along with Charlie Demers and Kathleen McGee.

Over at the Comedy MIX on Burrard, L.A.–based Sean Patton headlines those same nights, joined by Dino Archie and Ryan Williams. So far, so great, right? But wait, there’s more!

After her Boyish Girl Interrupted Tour was interrupted due to a medical emergency in November, Grammy-nominated Tig Notaro (shown here), no stranger to Vancouver audiences, brings her drollery back to the Rio Theatre on Friday (January 16).

And to top it all off, king of all nerds Chris Hardwick, host of @midnight on Comedy Central and The Nerdist podcast, brings his Funcomfortable Tour to the Chan Centre on Saturday (January 17). Chris James opens for him.

So what’s it going to be? We can’t decide. Better go for all four.
