The province has announced the appointment of two new board members of the B.C. Arts Council.

Susan Jackson and Yosef Wosk were welcomed to the board by council chair Merla Beckerman, and Minister of Community, Sport and Cultural Development Peter Fassbender.

“They both bring a wealth of experience to the board, which has representation from throughout the province,” Beckerman stated in a media release Wednesday (November 16).

Fassbender, for his part, noted that Jackson and Wosk have expertise that will serve as a “great resource for the council”.

The B.C. Arts Council is the lead agency of funding from government to the arts sector.

“Their insight will help support a thriving creative economy in the province for the benefit of all British Columbians," Fassbender said.
