Things To Do: 6 can't-miss Vancouver arts events this week, November 23 to 29
Editor’s choice
The Emily Carr Student Art Sale
You may head to Emily Carr University of Art and Design’s ever-popular student art sale to get a leg up on your Christmas shopping. But don’t be surprised if you end up picking up something—or several things—for yourself. You’ll be blown away by the sheer range of original works, spanning paintings, drawings, ceramics, sculptures, photographs, and prints. On the design side, look for housewares and greeting cards, too, all spread amid several expansive rooms packed with boxes and walls full of art. And who knows? Maybe you’ll buy a work from someone who turns out to be the next Douglas Coupland or Jeff Wall.
The Emily Carr Student Art Sale runs from Friday to Sunday (November 25 to 27) at the university’s Granville Island campus.
