The acclaimed hit production from Cristian Ceresoli, La Merda will make its Canadian premiere at The Cultch as part of its world tour next week.

Direct from its trailblazing sell-out runs in Rome, London, Edinburgh, Copenhagen, Sao Paulo, Madrid and Adelaide, La Merda is also the winner of The Scotsman Fringe First and Stage newspaper Best Actress Award. Legendary Italian actress Silvia Gallerano performs Ceresoli’s provocative feminist script with quick-fire proclamation and stream of consciousness unraveling. In a three part monologue, all performed completely naked; Gallerano navigates the dark and intimate thought terrain of a woman obsessed with becoming a TV star. La Merda powerfully pries open hard truths of female sexuality, politics, and mental health. The show runs at the The Cultch Historic Theatre from May 2 to 13. Tickets are available online.
