Want to hone your photography skills? Instructor Doug Williams will teach the basics of architectural photography in the settings of the Orpheum and Queen Elizabeth theatres starting on Monday (May 15).

The course will teach techniques for window light portraits, using flash, methods of creating abstracts, and long exposures outdoors.

The striking aesthetics of the historical venues will create apt lighting for portraits and endless inspiration for architectural landscapes.

This series is part of Vancouver Civic Theatres’ mission to provide access to its spaces for the community in unconventional ways.

Classes will run May 15 at the Orpheum, May 22 in the salons at Queen Elizabeth, May 29 at the Orpheum, and June 5 in the salons at the Q.E.

Registration is $60 dollars and can be purchased online or by calling 604-665-3051. Space is limited.
