Late legendary artist Bill Reid loved music almost as much a he loved the idea of bringing cultures together.

Now a concert uses those passions as inspiration for a diverse evening of music from the Northwest Coast--a rare convergence of everything from hip-hop to soul will share the stage.

Indie-pop Haida-Tsimshian musical duo Sister Says have teamed up with the Bill Reid Gallery and Christ Church Cathedral to curate the Giving Voice lineup, featuring established and emerging performers, on Thursday (June 15) at 7 p.m. at the Christ Church Cathedral.

Curated by Sister Says, the all-ages show spotlight such performers as rapper Ostwelve, electronic artist-singer Chersea, DJ Kookum, blues singer-songwriter Kristie McCracken, and more.

The Revenant actor Grace Dove, from Secwepemc territory, and model Linsay Willier (runner-up on Canada's Next Top Model), who together runs youth empowerment company Thunderbird Dreams with Dove, will speak at the event
