Studio 58 announces 2017-18 season

      Classic Shakespearean comedy meets cutting-edge multimedia teen story in Studio 58's just-announced 2017-18 season.

      The Bard's As You Like It launches things at the city's theatre training program, with a production directed by Michael Scholar Jr. and outfitted in costumes by Mara Gottler.

      Seth Bockley and Anne Hamburger's Wilderness follows in November, using real stories as the basis for its tale of six troubled adolescents sent to wilderness camp by desperate parents.

      And in February 2018, the company tackles the classic American comedy The Skin of Our Teeth, Thornton Wilder's piece set in a prehistoric world and the New Jersey suburbs. 

      In March of next year, Studio 58 continues is celebration of student-written plays with FOURPLAY: New Work by Excited Writers.

      And look for two installments of the 18th seasonal Risky Nights program, in which students prepare an original theatre piece from start to finish with a professional director, ultimately performing it for an intimate audience.
