Artist Carrie Walker's studio destroyed in fire near Kingsway and East Broadway
Vancouver artist Carrie Walker had a studio in a Mount Pleasant building that was destroyed by fire on Christmas morning.
Walker told the Vancouver Sun that she lost 500 paintings in the blaze near the corner of East Broadway and Kingsway.
Walker's watercolours and drawings of various animals were on display at Jeffrey Boone Gallery on East Cordova from October 8 to November 7.
According to Walker's Web site, her work has also been exhibited in New York, London, and Los Angeles.
