Canadian artist J.C. Heywood donates 102 prints to Burnaby Art Gallery

Canadian artist and printmaker J.C. Heywood has personally donated a selection of his works to the Burnaby Art Gallery.

Heywood has given the gallery 102 printed works worth an estimated $80,000 for its permanent collection, according to a news release.

“J.C. Heywood is already a cornerstone of our collection and this donation of 102 prints is remarkable as Heywood has established himself as a distinguished Canadian artist with an outstanding reputation in the printmaking genre,” gallery director Darrin Martens said in the release.

The Burnaby Art Gallery is located in Deer Lake Park. It is open Tuesday to Sunday with admission by donation.
