Cedar Lake, Kidd Pivot headline DanceHouse season

New York's acclaimed Cedar Lake company will open DanceHouse's fifth season.

Today, the local presenter unveiled a 2012-13 season that features the local, North American, and international on its roster.

Cedar Lake, which performs at the Playhouse on September 28 and 29, will bring work by global sensation Hofesh Schechter as well as local star Crystal Pite.

Pite's own Kidd Pivot company will make the local debut of its The Tempest Replica on November 9 and 10.

Montreal's BJM brings Works by Millepied, Soto & Marshall to town on February 15 and 16, 2013.

And Carte Blanche, from Bergen, Norway, presents its Corps de Walk on March 22 and 23, 2013.Subscriptions go on sale today.

Here's a look at how different the season's shows will be: first Schechter's loose and physically pummelling Violent Kid, and then the cool Corps de Walk from Norway.
