If you’re looking to chill out in style, consider spending an evening with contemporary jazz trumpeter Chris Botti, who plays the Orpheum Theatre next Wednesday evening (May 2). The former host of the nationally syndicated show Chill with Chris Botti, this is one dude who knows how to play it cool. Joined by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra as well as his backing band and vocalist Lisa Fischer, Botti will present a program of classics ranging from popular music to classical, from tunes by Burt Bacharach and Rodgers & Hart, to music by Giacomo Puccini and Frédéric Chopin.
