The Christmas Carol Project at the Cultch

The Christmas Carol Project at the Cultch from Sunday to Tuesday (December 16 to 18) is unlike any other holiday event: blissfully treacle-free, it’s an unusual blend of classic literature and folk music, as singers give voice to some of the iconic figures in the Charles Dickens classic. But somehow it mixes like a fine eggnog: think characters from Tiny Tim to the Ghost of Christmas Future, dressed in Victorian gear, with acoustic guitars and an accordion. Edmonton’s Brass Monkey Productions is bringing the show back for its third year—which has to make this an official East Side Vancouver tradition.
