Cross Cultural Music Concert at the Roy Barnett Recital Hall

East meets West in the instruments of the Cross Cultural Music Concert, a unique combination of the ethereal, ancient erhu with piano and guitar. The show, featuring musicians Nicole Ge Li, John Oliver, and Corey Hamm, premieres Michael Park’s evocative new erhu-piano piece, Moonless Night. The concert is the first in an ambitious project aimed at commissioning 20 new Chinese and Canadian compositions; the plan is for organizers Ge Li and Hamm to record all the pieces and take them to China in 2014.
