Gauguin and Polynesia: An Elusive Paradise at the Seattle Art Museum

Comments

French painter Paul Gauguin’s faux-primitivism never goes out of date. But you are running out of time to head south and catch the Seattle Art Museum’s dazzling contextualization, Gauguin and Polynesia: An Elusive Paradise. The popular show, which places 60 of the French painter’s richly hued paintings alongside the Tahitian art and sculpture that influenced him, ends next Sunday (April 29). Tickets can still be secured, along with more info, at the Seattle Art Museum website.
