The Interplay Project at the Moberly Arts and Cultural Centre

Comments

The Interplay Project has encouraged several local artists from different disciplines to collaborate, and the results in the show Friday and Saturday (June 1 and 2) at the Moberly Arts and Cultural Centre could be unpredictable and striking. Among the many joint projects, veteran dancer Edmond Kilpatrick (right) has worked with visual artist Christopher Rodrigues to explore the life cycle of the orchid and how it reflects the career of an artist; and belly dancer Naomi Joy Gallagher and spoken-word artist Julie Peters work together on a piece about femininity and fear. Interplay is put on by the Contingency Plan dance company and the centre, and curated by Laura Barron and Vanessa Goodman.
