Pianist Jane Coop bids farewell to the UBC School of Music
After 32 years at the UBC School of Music, pianist Jane Coop is stepping away from teaching to focus on her performance career. She’ll be getting a musical sendoff from colleagues this Saturday (May 26) at 4 p.m., when she’ll be joined by pianists Robert Silverman and Terence Dawson, violinist Lucy Chapman, violist Doris Lederer, and cellist Antonio Lysy for a concert of works by Frédéric Chopin, Johannes Brahms, Maurice Ravel, and Gabriel Fauré. Now that’s one way to go out in style.
