The Pruning Act at Spectral Theatre Society studio

Comments

Spectral Theatre Society likens the experience of watching its latest double bill to reading pulp fiction under the blanket with a flashlight. It’s the underground troupe’s fifth season of its Late-Night Double Feature summer series of local plays. The newest installment happens at the group’s studio at 350 Powell Street from this Thursday to Saturday (July 19 to 21) and the next (July 26 to 28), and features a sca-a-a-ry tale about humankind’s last effort to save the planet from environmental catastrophe ( The Pruning Act, written by Simon C. Hussey) and a story of domestic discord with a supernatural twist (In the Doghouse, by David Quast).

This is the best/scariest/funniest underground theatre I've ever seen! And that's just the venue. Top notch scripts, skillfully executed direction and wonderfuly talented casts. A must see.
