Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival and Harvest Fair at Slocan Park

If you’ve never visited the Renfrew Ravine, there’s no better time than for the Moon Festival held there each year. The event kicks off with a Harvest Fair from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday (September 29) at Slocan Park (near the 29th Avenue SkyTrain station) with live music and locally grown food. Then, at twilight, a lantern procession winds its way along the ravine, all the way to Renfrew Park, where there’ll be a giant puppet show, stilt dancing, a tea garden, live swing-jazz music, and much more. The Still Moon Art Society’s signature event is drawn from the mid-autumn festivals held all over the world.

This is pretty cool. Fun, free, and family friendly.
