Yves Jacques will have to cut short his performances in The Far Side of the Moon next month, due to a role in a film called Grace of Monaco. But he can rest assured his replacement knows the ropes.

SFU Woodwards and Théâtre la Seizième have just announced that Canadian theatre icon Robert Lepage himself will come here to play the lead role for part of the run of the show he created.

Jacques will star in the show from November 1 to 4 at the Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, and then Lepage will take over from November 6 to 10. Lepage originated the solo role.

The award-winning 2000 play juxtaposes the Space Race with the story of two Québécois brothers—one straight, one gay—and their competitive relationship after their mother's death.

Jacques has been touring the show to rave reviews since 2001.
