Tape at the Waldorf Hotel
Tape, one of the biggest hits of the 2009 Fringe Festival, is coming back to the newly groovy Waldorf Hotel from Wednesday to next Sunday (April 20 to 24). That’s a short run, and they only let in 18 people at a time—because it all goes on in a hotel room—so book now. The idea is that Vince (Daniel Arnold), a 28-year-old dope dealer, is renting the room. He invites his high-school friends Jon (Matthew Kowalchuk) and Amy (Marisa Smith) to drop by. Jon admits that his high-school sex with Amy got rough. Now she’s a prosecuting attorney. Under Amiel Gladstone’s direction, this show is grittily authentic. If you see it, you won’t forget it.
