Tiko Kerr gives painting to doctor who saved his life

Back in 2005 when Health Canada wouldn't license some experimental HIV treatments, Dr. Julio Montaner probably never expected he would ever receive a painting from Tiko Kerr, who was dying of advanced HIV infection.

However, Montaner succeeded with a noisy campaign to get the drugs approved. They ended up saving Kerr's life. And four years later at St. Paul's Hospital, Kerr offered thanks by presenting a painting to Montaner in appreciation of his efforts.
