Titanic: A New Musical and The Music Man at Malkin Bowl

Comments

Usually, its setting in Stanley Park is enough to recommend Theatre Under the Stars. But this year, the company has scored a bit of a coup: not only is it producing the Tony Award–winning Titanic: A New Musical on the 100th anniversary of the massive maritime disaster, it’s got acclaimed musical director (and former Vancouver Playhouse Theatre Company head) Max Reimer steering the ship. The show, starring Russell Roberts (shown here) as the doomed captain, is set to open Tuesday (July 10) and runs in repertory with the classic crowd-pleaser The Music Man (which opens the next night) until August 18.

There are a couple of things wrong with the picture of Russell Roberts...for a start, it's not Russell Roberts...
