Uncommon Vision at the ARC live-work spaces
It may be the only event in town where you can see special-effects monster-make-up demonstrations, dog-portrait shoots, classical-piano recitals, and hand-tinting photograph how-tos. And we haven’t even mentioned the live music, zumba dancing, and visual art on display. This Saturday and Sunday (June 9 and 10) from noon to 5 p.m., it’s time for the annual Uncommon Vision event, when the ARC live-work spaces (1701 Powell Street) open up their studios to the public. Opening parties and a night group gallery show take place Friday (June 8) from 7 p.m. till about midnight. The mix of offerings reflects the wild diversity of the artists in what must be a fascinating place to live.
