Vancouver Symphony Orchestra up close at the VSO School of Music
Here’s a chance to see the musicians of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra up close and personal. Tonight (November 15) at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday (November 18) at 2 p.m., the much-anticipated Industrial Alliance VSO Chamber Players series launches in the acoustically state-of-the-art, 120-seat Pyatt Hall at the VSO School of Music. The big-name chamber masterworks are on the program by the likes of George Frederick Handel, Robert Schumann, and Sergei Prokofiev, but there’s also an unexpected gem: a rare performance of a piece written by Baroque composer Jean-Marie Leclair.
