Winter Harp Yuletide concert at St. Andrew’s-Wesley United Church

There is something so angelic and otherworldly about the harp that hearing it live—and in numbers—makes it unlike any other instrument out there. That’s why the Winter Harp Yuletide concert is one of our annual favourites, and if you’ve never experienced it, you’re in for a treat. We’re not just talking any old harps either: this, the troupe’s 19th year on tour, features a pedal harp, Celtic harps, and a medieval harp, alongside everything from piccolos, tambourines, and wooden flutes to the human voice. The performers, including virtuoso Celtic master Kim Robertson, get decked out like it’s Renaissance times. And did we mention it’s all lit by candles? The strings get strumming on Saturday (December 22) at 7:30 p.m. in the sacred surrounds of St. Andrew’s-Wesley United Church. Prepare to be mesmerized.
