3:01 Pick Me Up: of Montreal

A certain unnamed someone in the Straight editorial department recently commented that, without even knowing what the band sounds like, he'd like to give of Montreal's Kevin Barnes a righteous thumping for the unwieldy song titles he has foisted upon the world.

Admittedly, it's tough to defend titles like "Authentic Pyrrhic Remission", "Triphallus, to Punctuate!", "Heimdalsgate Like a Promethean Curse", and "Y The Quale And Vaguely Bird Noisily Enjoying Their Forbidden Tryst/I'd Be A Yellow Feathered Loon". But you can't deny that the comparatively modest-titled "Suffer for Fashion" is a great indie-pop tune.
