Reel 2 Real presents Ice Dragon (Isdraken), a Swedish film by Martin Högdahl, on January 13 at 1 p.m. at the Vancity Theatre (1181 Seymour Street).

Ice Dragon is a family movie that follows 11-year-old Mik, who lives with his older brother and alcoholic dad in a suburb of Stockholm. When Mik is forced to go live with his aunt Leno in a remote northern village, his world is turned upside down until he befriends two brothers, Bengt and Bertil, falls in love with Pi, and learns to find his way home.

The film, in Swedish with English subtitles, is appropriate for audiences age 10 and up. Viewers age 10 to 19 are invited to stay after the film for a free workshop on film criticism.

Tickets to the screening of Ice Dragon are $8 for adults, $6 for children, youth, and seniors, and $5 each for groups of 10 or more.
