Three supernatural thrillers to tackle before they hit the theatres

Feeling a little lost after the end of the Twilight empire and missing the familiar thrill of following the adventures of vampires and werewolves on the pages and the screen?

Fear not, gentle reader, because the trend of adapting supernatural books for the big screen shows no signs of slowing down.

Here’s a list of three cinema-bound supernatural thrillers that I’ve recently read and enjoyed.

      1. City of Bones

IMDb status: Slated for an August 23 release.

      2. Shadow and Bone

      IMDb status: In development.

      3. Horns

IMDb status: Slated for a 2013 release.

And though they’re not currently being developed into films, I’d just like to note that other recent reads The Rook (Daniel O’Malley) and Lonely Werewolf Girl (Martin Millar) have definite potential. Hint, hint, Hollywood.

After all, a girl can dream, can’t she?
