Poulenc’s libretto is based on the play by Georges Bernanos, which is based on the novel, Die Letzte am Schafott (The Last on the Scaffold), by Gertrud von Le Fort.

UBC Opera’s cast includes Forst, Brittany Fouché, Chelsea Rus, Deborah Blakesley, Francesca Corrado, Natascia Dell’erba, Lindsay Moore, Erin Milley-Patey, Taylor Pardell, Kwangmin Brian Lee, Weilong Tao, Jihwan Cho, and Peter Monaghan.
