Photos: Canada knocks off Spain in Davis Cup tennis at UBC

      Canada has won a spot in the Davis Cup World Group quarter-finals for the first time ever.

      The home team defeated Spain 3-2 in their Davis Cup first-round tie at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre at the University of British Columbia. Between February 1 and 3, the tie garnered total attendance of 17,796.

      From April 5 to 7, Canada will meet Italy in the quarter-final tie. The location has not yet been announced, but it will be somewhere in Canada.
